Fun Flute Classes Summer 2011

The dates are being put together for the Fun Flute and whistle classes for the Summer term. There are new classes with a new venue, day and time for some.

As usual I am happy to discuss details further. Please do feel free to pass this on to anyone you feel may be interested.

Beginners flute

  • These will take place in St John’s Church Hall, Brighton Place, Portobello
  • Friday mornings, 10.30-12.00
  • Absolute beginners, no prior experience required.
  • Fri 13 May

  • Fri 24 Jun
  • Another date, TBC with the class

Beginners whistle*

  • For complete beginner whistle players
  • Suitable for tin whistles in D and low whistles
  • Thu 05 May

  • Thu 16 Jun
  • Thu 30 Jun
  • Time: 7.45-9.15
  • Venue: St James Church Hall, Rosefield Place, Portobello

Improvers flute and whistle*

  • This group carries on from before and the time and venue remains unchanged.
  • Some experience on the flute or whistle required
  • Suitable for simple system and Boehm flutes, tin whistles in D and low whistles

  • Time: 7.45-9.15
  • Venue: St James Church Hall, Rosefield Place, Portobello (unchanged)

Advanced flute and whistle

  • This group has now changed to Friday morning
  • For more experienced flute or whistle players
  • Suitable for simple system and Boehm flutes, tin whistles in D and low whistles
  • These will take place in St John’s Church Hall, Brighton Place, Portobello 10.30-12.00
  • Fri 06 May
  • Fri 20 May
  • Fri 03 Jun
  • Fri 17 Jun
  • Fri 01 Jul

Prices:

  • All classes are £8/ £6 concessions per class, making £40/ £32 for a block of 5.
  • Payable in advance please, as this helps to secure the venue.

* The Thursday night classes are currently scheduled to be fortnightly. However, if there are not enough people for a Beginners whistle class, then I will be able to offer the Improvers class on a weekly basis for this term. The price for the term would rise accordingly.
