The classes once again cater for Beginners, Improvers and Advanced players and are suitable for traditional simple system wooden flutes, Boehm system silver flutes and whistles pitched in D and low D.
There is no need to be able to read music as the emphasis is on learning by ear. Recordings and sheet music are provided in support of the classes, which are taught in a friendly group setting.
This is an opportunity to learn some new skills or redisover some old ones as we explore traditional music from Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
Running on alternate weeks on a fortnightly basis from 7.45 at St James Church Hall, there are 6 classes over a 12 week block. Cost is £48/ £36 (concessions) for the term, which ends on Thursday 1st December when we will join our Fun Fiddle friends and neighbours for a Stramash (party).
For further information, dates and payment details, see the Fun Flute page.
